More about our guest artists:
"Flutes, Drums and Harps from beyond the Western World" with Aharon Wheels Bolsta and Evan Fraser
These two musician friends draw upon their shared backgrounds in the musical traditions of India, Brazil, West Africa, the Balkans, Bali, and much more as they perform contemporary compositions and original creations in a style evocative of modern music genres (improvisational experimental music, techno, and funk) intermingled with the alternately warm and shimmering sounds of jaw harps, West African strings, thumb pianos, reed and bamboo flutes from India and the Middle-East, and percussion and rhythms of tabla, dumbek, zabumba, and calabash.
